OK, so you probably clicked on this link expecting to find out how to get into some server in microsoft and screw everything up, correct?

Anyway, Hacking isn't about doing malicious things on the internet and to companies and schools. My type of hacking is trying to get games and programs to work without CD's for optimal performance. To create a network with non-standard protocols like UDP and winsock. Hacking is much like programming, but not as Kosher.

Hacking is also primarily done in the windows interface, so if your looking for mac-hac, get out.

A Simple Lesson in Hacking: The System Registry

Windows has a brain with a memory (believe it or not). This memory is called the registry. All the programs on your hard drive utilize the registry for remembering settings, like where they were, what the last user's name was, etc.

Access to the registry is simple. Knowing what to do is difficult. The registry can be accessed by pressing, START, then RUN, and typing in REGEDIT. This will bring you to many folders, called keys.

Warning: The registry is vital to your PC's operation. DON'T SCREW AROUND IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!!!
